Adult CPR

CPR for adults is very similar to CPR for infants and children with just a few modifications. For adults we don’t do the 5 initial rescue breaths, this is because we suspect it’s more likely to be a problem with their heart as opposed to their airway. For adults we go straight into 30 chest compressions followed by 2 rescue breaths.

Chest Compression Only CPR; If you have not had any training or are unwilling/ unable to perform rescue breaths please give chest compression only CPR. The operator when you call emergency services will be able to give you instructions.
