Consent

There’s an assumption that everyone who needs help wants it, but that’s not always true. In order to care for someone in need, you must have their permission. When the casualty is an infant or child you would seek permission from a parent or legal guardian. This is usually done when the child signs up to attend your care.

If you are dealing with an unresponsive casualty you can assume that they give you consent to help.
