Cuts & Grazes

Cuts and grazes are a common type of injury in children and in most cases do not pose a threat to health. Cleaning them thoroughly and covering them with a plaster or dressing is all that is needed.
Treatment
- Before you begin treatment put on disposable gloves if available
- Clean the wound under running tap water. If this is not available you can use saline or saline wipes from your kit. Do not use an antiseptic as this can slow down the healing
- Apply a suitable dressing, most likely a plaster
