Embedded Objects
- Do not remove embedded objects in a wound as this could cause further damage. The object may also be stemming any bleeding
- Use sterile bandages and dressings such as roller bandages or rolled up triangular bandages and apply padding around the object. Apply pressure over the wound but avoid pressure on the object
- Seek medical attention for the infant or child to have the object removed
