How to Assist the Ambulance Crew

There are a number of things you can do to help;

• If possible send someone out to wave down the emergency team and to direct them to the exact location
• Is there somewhere for them to park close by?
• If it’s dark outside are you able to turn on lights and open the curtains?
• Make sure all the doors are unlocked so they have easy access
• Hand over any notes you have made
• Have the child’s medical records and medication at hand
• You may be asked to assist eg moving a casualty
• If you’re in a car turn on hazard lights
• Lock away family pets
