This Blended First Aid at Work (FAW) course is designed to give you the knowledge, practical understanding, and confidence to respond effectively to workplace emergencies.
You will learn how to:
- Assess incidents safely
- Identify life-threatening conditions
- Provide immediate and effective first aid
📚 What the Course Covers
This course covers a wide range of essential first aid topics:
- Role and responsibilities of a first aider
- Incident assessment and emergency management
- CPR and use of an AED
- Unconscious casualty care and recovery position
- Choking management
- Severe bleeding, wound care, and shock
- Minor injuries (cuts, burns, eye injuries)
- Head, neck, and spinal injuries
- Chest injuries and fractures
- Medical conditions (heart attack, stroke, asthma, diabetes, seizures)
- Poisoning, anaphylaxis, and allergic reactions
- Incident recording and reporting
✅ FAIB Approved Training
This course is aligned with the standards set by the First Aid Industry Body (FAIB). It meets the requirements for Paediatric First Aid training and follows current UK first aid guidelines and best practice.

⚠️ Blended Learning Requirement
This course forms the theory element of a blended qualification.
To achieve full certification, you must also complete:
👉 2 Days (12 Hours) Face-to-Face Practical Training
During your practical training, you will be assessed on:
- CPR and AED use
- Managing an unresponsive casualty
- Choking treatment
- Severe bleeding control
- Bandaging and dressings
- Practical first aid scenarios
❗ You will not be certified until both online and practical elements are completed.
🎯 Learning Outcomes
By the end of this course, you will be able to:
- Assess emergency situations safely
- Perform CPR and use an AED
- Manage injuries and medical conditions
- Control severe bleeding and treat shock
- Recognise when to call emergency services
- Provide first aid in line with current guidelines
